Recipes and Cooking Tips That Bring People Together

I started cooking with my mom before I could see over the top of the stove. Messily cracking eggs into a frying pan on my tippy toes is where I started, and being a private chef is somehow where I ended up. I don’t think Mom ever thought it would become such a big part of my life, and a corner stone to who I am. There was something about the structure of cooking that I found comfort in; but it was the reaction from the person I set a plate in front of that I fell in love with. That split second of connection got me hooked. I never wanted to cook fancy food that took hours of preparation and plating, I wanted to cook food that made people feel at home and welcomed.

The moments I have in my kitchen overhearing people laughing and talking around my dining room table are the ones I crave, and find to be the purest moment of connection and community in my life. I want to share recipes to make it a little bit easier to initiate connection with the ones you care about, or maybe even connect with yourself in the moments of solitude that a kitchen can bring.
